The trail up Mount Maxwell in Mount Maxwell Provincial Park on Saltspring Island rewards the hiker with a spectacular Gulf Island vista over Burgoyne Bay, Sansum Narrows, Maple Bay and the surrounding mountains.

Baynes Peak provides the best viewpoint and park facilities, but no camping is permitted in Mount Maxwell Provincial Park.

On the Fulford-Ganges Road on Saltspring Island, either 11.2k from Fulford Harbour or 1.6km from Ganges, turn southwest onto Cranberry Road and continue up Maxwell Mountain Road for 9 km to the main parking lot. The pavement ends at the 4 km mark.
